Even if I could get all that stuff for 50% off it would probably still make sense for me to just buy Komplete Ultimate to get the additional stuff, too. It doesn't matter that I don't use probably 80% of the stuff in Komplete, because all the stuff that I do use would cost me way more than the price of Komplete Ultimate. I, for example, am a heavy user of Kontakt ($400) and within it most of the Abbey Roads drum sets ($100 each) and Damage ($300), GuitarRig ($200), Massive ($150), some Reaktor synths ($200), the superb Reverb Classics ($200), the Vintage Compressors series ($200), Absynth ($150), the Premium Tube series ($200), Transient Master ($100), and more. It's about the price you pay for the stuff you do need. There are still arguments to buy Komplete even for those people:ġ) It's not about all the stuff you don't need. Yes, the amount of stuff you get will be overkill for most people and I would guess most people even over their entire music career won't even use 10% of what's included. Maschine, Maschine Studio, Maschine Mikro, Komplete Kontrol etc.all old technology packaged in a way with fancy lights to attract a larger user base. Now it's more about sample packs, Maschine expansions, anything to make money. IMO they lost that about 6 years ago with the abandonment of Kore.
#Komplete ultimate 10 reaktor install failing upgrade
There is very little incentive for me to continue the NI upgrade bandwagon until such time they become an innovative leader. In Kore with Komplete 7 I had over 25,000 patches, about 3k or 4k of those tagged. Today a lot of those limits have vanished, but at the same time it has made me lazy and less creative by a long shot.Īnd this is nothing new. In the olden days you had limits and did the best with what you had. My personal observation is that the more there is, the less time devoted to production and less creativity. Until such time I think the libraries will continue to grow. I think the ultimate overkill won't happen until NI releases the preset "make hit song."
